About DPDP

What the Act means for people who ship code

The DPDP Act covers digital personal data: anything stored or sent electronically that can be linked to a person. Paper records count once they are scanned or uploaded.

Three roles matter. The Data Principal is the person the data is about. The Data Fiduciary decides why and how it is used. The Data Processor, such as an SMS gateway, handles it on the Fiduciary's behalf. Privacy by Design means building these duties into architecture, APIs, databases and logs from day one.

What we do

Helping developers build for the DPDP Act

C-DAC and MeitY run hands-on programs, publish plain-language guidance and offer practice material, so privacy duties become working code.

01

Train

In-person programs led by practitioners from C-DAC and MeitY, built around real application scenarios.

02

Guide

The rules summarised for people who ship code: notice, breaches, children's data, user rights and deadlines.

03

Practise

FAQs, puzzles, flash cards and a word game to test what you have learned.
